Audit Trail for Tracking User Activity

June 17, 2025

We’ve just added Audit Trail functionality to your account. This feature gives you visibility into what’s happening in your account.

Audit Trail captures changes made by users, such as creating or updating Alerts, Apps, Pipelines, team invitations (e.g., adding account members or App guests), and more. You’ll see who made a change, what was changed, and when it happened — all in one place.

When is this useful? Examples.

Here are just a few examples:

  • If you suddenly start getting notified by a new alert, Audit Trail will let you see who added or modified this alert rule.
  • If an important dashboard disappears or is changed, you will be able to see who did that.
  • If a user with a suspicious email address gets added to your account you will see who invited them or who changed their role.
  • If your monthly cost suddenly increases, Audit Trail helps you pinpoint the cause — for example, by showing which App was created or which existing App changed its plan.
  • If someone adds a large number of Synthetic monitors or changes their intervals — which could cause you to run out of available runs — Audit Trail lets you see who made those changes and when.

What you can do with Audit Trail:

  • See a full history of all key user actions
  • Filter events by user, event type, or App
  • View detailed change logs with old and new values
  • Navigate directly to the updated App, Alert Rule, Dashboards, Reports, Pipelines, and any other affected entity

This feature is especially useful for teams that want better change tracking, the ability to see who changed what, when and where, and more transparency around account activity in general.
